Sony Announces Your Life in Sony 3D

3D technology has certainly become a popular trend all over the world and many electronic consumer product companies are now trying to impress their customers by changing the same old technology into 3D because people would love to buy 3D technology products. Hence, 3D technology has slowly invaded our lives from 3D movies to 3D high definition televisions and now 3D cameras. Yes, you must have certainly seen 3D movies in movie halls and on your television screen but you must have never got the opportunity to film someone in 3D camera, but now you have one.

Sony has come up with a social media driven contest known as Your Life in Sony 3D. The grand prize of the contest is a 3D video of the winning idea. Hence, when you provide your ideas and if you become the winner your idea will be shot on Sony professional equipment and aired nationally on 3net, which is a 24/7 3D network which was recently launched by Sony, Discovery and IMAX. Sony unveiled their Your Life in Sony 3D on their Facebook page on May 9 and so far they have received tremendous response from the people. So, what exactly is Your Life in Sony 3D all about? Entrants can submit a short event description along with their personal photo in any four categories. The categories are Sports & Recreation, Arts & Entertainment, Cause & Community or Life Milestones & Events.

The submission and voting by the people will go on for four weeks and after that the top five voted entrants will get selected for making their 3D video by producers at 3net and Sony. The finalists will be chosen by an expert panel that consists of Buzz Hays and director Scott Stewart. They said that they are really excited about this and 3D is a new kind of entertainment that consumers demand for their movie experience.  Stuart Redsun, Senior Vice President of Marketing Communication at Sony Electronics said that people today are more inclined towards 3D technology and they want to see their movies or sports all in 3D. However, now for the first time consumers will get an opportunity to see themselves in 3D and also see their own stories told on the screen. The winner will also get hands-on tour of the 3D production truck used for the event. Hence, it will be an unforgettable experience for the people to see and learn how 3D technology works.
