Sony Unveils 4K TV for the US Market

Sony has remained one of the top competitors in the high definition television market and the company has now made an announcement unveiling their first television that is capable of producing 4K images. The consumer electronics giant said that they have come out with an 84 inch set model XBR-84X900 which is equipped with 4K LCD panel that has the ability to produce images that are four times better than any high resolution Full HD TV in the market. The company revealed that the LCD panel has 3840 X 2160 screen resolution and will be available in North American market by the end of this year.

Sony announced that the company has been trying to push the television technology limits since 1968 and they have moved ahead from Trinitron to HDTVs to 3D TVs and now 4K TV which is the next level of technology. Brian Siegel, Vice President of Sony Electronics TV Group said that this television will change the way people look at television screen resolution. He said that the company has excellent knowledge about creating better technologies that can push the limits in TV technology.

The 4K TV is equipped with 4K X-Reality PRO picture engine that makes every single picture look crisp and clear. The processor used in the 4K TV exceeds the expectations of Full HD resolution TV and does not degrade the image quality. The TV also has the potential to offer full cinema like experience to the viewers along with rich sound that comes through virtual 5.1 surround sound incorporated in the 4K TV.
