Starcraft II “Ghosts of the Past” Trailer Posted

Blizzard Starcraft II

Blizzard has released another trailer for Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. This one was previously awarded to people who managed to unlock it in Blizzard’s Join the Dominion! promotion. You view the video in full HD on Blizzard’s Starcraft II YouTube channel.

It is exclusively a cut-scene trailer with no actual gameplay, but plenty of gameplay footage has already been released anyway. This extended trailer gives you a little more of the storyline, complete with plenty of political catchphrases, explosions, and dramatic dialog.

Starcraft II is scheduled to be released on July 27, so let’s just recap what we know about it. Like the first Starcraft, the game with be a real-time strategy, providing the player with full control over a variety of new units. There are three distinct races: the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg.  It will have a full singleplayer campaign as well as multiplayer match-making through Battle.net. It will also have map-making and scripting tools, providing extensive customization. Visually, it will feature 3D graphics that will take the platform to the next level and make the first Starcraft look like a paper diorama.

Starcraft will be released for Windows and Mac OS X on July 27. You can pre-order a copy for $59.99 or just wait for the release and hope the price goes down.
