McLaren is often associated with racing and high speed performance and now McLaren has announced the launch of their new limited edition 650S for celebrating McLaren’s 1995 Le Mans 24 Hours race victory. The automaker said that they are really proud of their achievement and they would like to celebrate that in style with the launch of the new limited edition. The all new special car will also get the Le Mans badge commemorating the enormous success of McLaren in 1995’s Le Mans where the British automaker won the first, third, fourth and fifth position.
To make this car more special McLaren has announced that they will only produce 50 such vehicles. The car will only be available in coupe models and will be priced at 244,500 GBP. The automaker mentioned that they are already taking orders and the car will be built by McLaren Special Operations and will be delivered by the middle of the year. The car will be powered by 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 to offer better performance. McLaren has also made certain exterior changes like roof-mounted snorkel to speed up performance along with new front louvers for increasing downforce. This high performance car will also have special lightweight wheels and specially developed Pirelli P Zero Corse tires.
