Every child dreams in childhood days to become tall and look handsome. Being tall has certain advantages like getting in to armed forces easily, and it also helps in daily activities greatly. Normally we see people growing up to 6 feet or plus. But, few people grow even up to 8 feet. This is mainly due to abnormality in the pituitary gland responsible for secretion of the growth hormone which regulates the growth pattern. Here is a list of tallest men in the world who are alive.

1. George Bell:

He is the tenth tallest men in the world measuring 7 feet 8 inches. He is an American born in 1957. George Bell adores his country and is serving as a deputy sheriff in the Virginia state. He was a good basketball player and played with various popular teams.

He is Ukrainian who measured more than six feet at a young age of just seven years. He also weighed more about 200 pounds. Igor Vovkovinskiy found it hard to manage even simple things because of the giant stature. He is a big fan of American president Barrack Obama. Currently this guy measures 7 feet 8.33 inches.

This tall guy born in 1968 and currently measuring 7 feet 8.4 inches belongs to Tunisia. Radhouane Charbib feels proud of his giant build and is very much happy with it. He considers it as a gift. This giant guy enjoys people looking at him with wide opened eyes.

4. Ri Myung Hun:

He is a North Korean born in 1967 and is credited as the 7th tallest man alive on earth. Ri Myung Hun is a member of Korean basketball team and is the key player of the team. He dreams to play in National Basketball Association. But, the cold war between United States and North Korea is disappointing him. He measures 7 feet 8.5 inches.

5. Sun Ming Ming:

He is a Chinese born in 1983 and currently measures 7 feet 9 inches. His giant stature helped greatly in becoming a professional Basketball player. Sun Ming Ming participates in TV shows and other occasions upon request. He tried to play in NBA but failed in his attempts.

This tall guy measuring 7 feet 9.5 inches is the fifth tallest men on the planet. Bao Xishun is a Chinese born in 1951. He is a good basketball player who played for three years with Army Basketball team of China. He got married in 2007 and is now a father of cute little son.

He was born in Russia in 1959. Alexander Sizonenko who measures 7 feet 10.1 inches is a good Basketball player and became popular at a very young age because of his outstanding performance. The continuously growing bones which turned painful forced him to stop playing Basketball.

He is tallest Indonesian who was born in 1983. Suparwono, the third tallest men in world measures 7 feet 11 inches. This giant person also eats heavily. He comfortably eats 14 to 16 eggs and about 7 to 8 pounds of rice every day.

9. Zhang Juncai:

He was born in 1983 in China. Zhang Juncai who is the second tallest men on earth measures 7 feet 11.3 inches. Due to his height he is requested to be as a special guest in TV shows and other performances that are of value to the society. He is very good at heart and a friendly person.

10. Sultan Kosen:

He was born in 1982 in Turkey. Sultan Kosen who measures 8 feet 3 inches is honored by Guinness Book of World Records as the tallest men in the world. He walks with the help of sticks to support himself. He is a very friendly person and prefers to participate in charity programs.
