Create for millions consumer and developer competition highlights app consumption on Nokia mobile phones

On June 28, 2011 the mobile company Nokia announced the “Create for millions”, a competition that brings together the consumers and developers all around the world. This competition was developed to get together the ideas for creating various applications for the newest Nokia’s Series 40 mobile phones. These also help the people to get together all the Java and web based applications together to integrate them into something much bigger. One can win money and gifts that are worth one million Euros through participating in the competition.

The competition will have the people’s ideas being developed into applications and integrated in the Series 40 mobile phones and be seen by millions of people around the world. There are four categories under which the ideas have to be given. These include health and education, social networking and location, games and lastly the news and local information. For every category there are 10 prizes and there are various other gift hampers and vouchers waiting. Nokia has always been a consumer friendly mobile company and there mobiles are being used by a large number of people around the world. The Nokia’s Series 40 mobile phones are touted to be one of the finest in terms of technicality and also it would have a large amount of new applications that no one has ever seen.

Create for millions” as a competition is one of the finest ways to know more applications and get newer ideas. In a way these can be seen as a method to develop newer applications that were never developed in a mobile phone. In a way, Nokia wants to create the best applications for making the lives of the people easy. They have promised to create the finest web applications that one can think of and through “Create for millions”; they surely mean to say that the sky is the limit.
