Sony Launches Xperia PLAY Smartphone for Gamers

The world is already going crazy for Sony PS3 so that they can play better and more real like games. However, now Sony has gone one step further to take the gaming euphoria to the next level and has come up with Sony Xperia PLAY that combines the mobile technology with gaming. The Sony Xperia PLAY is currently the only and first PlayStation certified smartphone that is now available in the market. The smartphone is available in limited countries at the moment like UK, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. However, Sony has said that they will soon launch their new PlayStation smartphone in additional 6 markets in less than two weeks.

Since this is a PlayStation certified smartphone there is no doubt that all the gamers will be looking forward to play their favorite games on it. Hence, Sony has launched Xperia PLAY with more than 60 games that includes some of the top franchises like Assassins Creed, Need for Speed and The Sims. Some of the industry’s biggest game providers like Sony Computer Entertainment, Gameloft, Electronic Arts, and Glu Mobile have decided to come up with new games made and design especially for this smartphone.

Currently, some of the top games like Assassins Creed, Need for Speed, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Dungeon Defenders Second Wave, Gun Bros, Galaxy on Fire 2, Guns N Glory, Worms, Zenonia 2, Backstab and NOVA 2 are available for Sony Xperia PLAY.

Sony also announced that Asphalt 6 will be available for free exclusively on Xperia PLAY for all customers. All the games can be downloaded through the Xperia PLAY launcher that can be activated by sliding the gamepad. Gamers can search for better and new games on Android market and download them instantly. Sony has said that they are in conversation with major game developers to come up with interesting and popular games for Xperia PLAY.
