Sony has always remained in the news for the kind of consumer electronics that they launch in various parts of the world. Now, Sony has announced that they have launched new Network Media Player and Blu-ray Disc Player that they will soon launch in North America and Europe. Sharing more information about both the players the company said that the users can enjoy both these devices to their televisions and enjoy apps and widgets that are available with it. The company also shared that both the gadgets come with new remote control that has full touchpad, full keyboard with backlight and mic for voice search.
Almost two years ago Sony unveiled the first HDTV and blu-ray players that were powered by Google and now they are launching new network media player that is powered by Google. The company said that both the players will be launched by summer 2012 and initially they will be available in North America and Europe. However, they do have plans to expand the product in various other countries around the globe. Masashi Imamura, Senior Vice President, Corporate Executive, and President of Home Entertainment Business Group at Sony Corporation said that they were certainly the first to come up with products that were powered by Google and now they are only enhancing those products to provide better entertainment to the consumers. He also said that they will always come up with more such products that can improve the value in home entertainment and make it compatible with Bravia TV and other mobile devices.
