Radisson Edwardian Staff Damages £90,000 Supercar

UK’s top luxury hotel met a serious controversy after its hotel staff got involved in a car accident of one of its guest’s £90,000 Jaguar. Mike Reilly, a 55-year old guest who checked-in to the hotel in April has demanded an apology from the management of Radisson Edwardian Blu for wrecking the vehicle. The owner of a marketing firm, Mike rented the Jaguar XKR Supercharged for a roadtrip to Manchester City.

The idea he had in mind was a promotional tactic to meet clients during a tour to North of England. After arriving at the hotel, the keys were handed over to the valet parking service who offered to park it at a nearby parking lot. Four hours later, Mike received a phone call from a staff member who informed that the high-powered vehicle was no longer drivable after it was hit somewhere. He was left in a position of devastation after car-hire firm’s insurers told him that the repair bill would exceed £6000. The event became more intense after the hotel management refused to share any details with Mike about how the accident happened.

A spokeswoman representing the hotel group stated, “Edwardian Group London understands this matter involving a hire car is now in the hands of the relevant insurance company and it would be inappropriate for us to discuss it further”, Manchester Evening News reported.

The result of the accident was however, two flat tires in the front with a smashed suspension. The hire car company sent a Mercedes E-Class as a replacement for Mr.Reilly. Meanwhile, insurance companies representing both parties are in talks to resolve the damage issue.
