BlackBerry comes with screen reader software for visually impaired

Many people are not fortunate enough to have the perfect vision because of which they find it difficult to work on mobiles, Smartphone and other electronic devices. Keeping this thing in mind, BlackBerry maker Research in Motion has launched a free software application that can help these types of people use and operate the BlackBerry phones like other normal users. This initiative by RIM is a great step in empowering these users to stay connected with their near and dear ones using the power of technology through these Smartphone. This shows that RIM is dedicated to providing the services that can support the customers with disabilities.

Significance of the Software

The software will generate the output that would be in audio format that visually impaired people can easily understand. Using this software they can access all the core applications on BlackBerry Smartphone. Not only this, they can configure the Smartphone to set text, speech and audio frequency to enable them to use the phone without any difficulty. The software, which is available in English, German, French, Spanish and many other languages can be easily downloaded for free from BlackBerry website and loaded onto the Smartphone.
